Immerse yourself in the captivating melodies of the First Nations people with this Native American Style Flute. Effortlessly play by just blowing into its walnut mouthpiece. With 6 holes and tuned in the enchanting minor pentatonic scale, it offers limitless musical possibilities.

Why Maple Flute? 

North-Eastern Maple or Northern Sugar Maple is a local wood that grows in North Carolina, so it’s a wood that is readily available. The colors are typically lighter with dark streaks in them. It’s an absolutely wonderful wood for flutes because of its vibration quality. Just like maple is used a lot for violin sides and backs, it can also be used for flutes. It’s more of a rare type of wood so it stands out to be different type of wood used for flutes. But that shouldn’t eliminate the reason to use it. It’s got full tone and medium in weight. If you’re looking for a unique flute that stands out, Maple is the way to go. 
 
What Size and Key Should I Get? 

High Range size Maple flutes are great for travel flutes. The sound is higher pitch and very sweet sounding. The maple makes the tone very warm sounding. They also make extremely nice melody flutes to go along with other instruments. 

The Mid-range size Maple flutes are the standard size for most players. You will typically see solo flute players playing this size flutes. Almost any sized hand can reach the holes for these flutes. For the beginner playing. 

The Low-range size Maple flutes are bass flutes. They create a low pitched sounding flutes and are very relaxing sounding. This is for people who can stretch their fingers at least 1 ¼ inch apart from each other comfortably. I recommend this sized instrument for a more experienced player. 

The Finish: The finish is made from Caleb’s signature shellac finish. It’s made from a food safe material called shellac that has been used on instruments for centuries. It’s durable and absolutely stunning finish. The finish gives a 3D image of the wood and helps bring the characteristics of the wood out.
