Introducing the exquisite 7-stringed Kinnor, meticulously handcrafted by Caleb Byerly. Inspired by the ancient Hebrew lyre, this instrument carries the legacy of King David's melodic devotion. Seven strings allow you to be able to tune it in difference scales. Our recommended tuning for this instrument is a major scale at Pentatonic Scale: A, C, D, E, G, A, C  or a major scale: F, A, C, F, G, A, C

 
It's easy to play! All you have to do is pluck the strings. It has a soft, mellow sound to it. It's a gentle sound.

Dimensions: 17" x 8" x 2"

Materials: Mahogany body, Spruce top and back, brass anchor pins, steel tuning pins, steel strings and brass tuning wrench. 

Finish: The finish is made from Caleb’s signature shellac finish. It’s made from a food safe material called shellac that has been used on instruments for centuries. It’s durable and absolutely stunning finish. The finish gives a 3D image of the wood and helps bring the characteristics of the wood out. 

AVAILABLE ACCESSORIES:

Leather Bag: Our bags are made with high quality, genuine leather. The case is designed to protect the lyre from being damaged when traveling or to store when not being used. The inside of the case is a soft material to also help protect the lyre. There is a metal zipper that goes around 3 sides of the lyre to allow you to open the bag and insert the lyre without it getting scratched. A leather strap allows you to carry it on your shoulder. Note: We typically carry leather colors: gray, dark gray, tan, brown and black. Our colors of leather may vary depending on availability therefore we cannot give the option to choose what color you would like. But we will make sure it matches the style and look of your lyre.

Stand: Our stands are made with high quality wood that matches the design of the lyre. Each stand is designed to hold the Kinnor upright for display when it is not being used. It allows you to be able to showcase it on a shelf or table safely without it falling off.

Extra Set of Steel Strings: Strings break from time to time and strings need to be replaced every year. Our extra set of strings are the exact size, length and number that matches the lyres that we build here at Evergreen Instruments.
